Adult Empowerment Services
Adult Empowerment Services supports adults with disabilities to live fulfilling, connected, and independent lives through person-centred, coordinated, and community-driven support.
The services are grounded in six key principles: personalised support that flexibly adapts to individual needs; community participation; independent living through coaching and life skills development; family as first support; connected communities and enabling technologies that enhance accessibility, safety, and communication.
Our offerings include the Disability Case Management Programme (DCMP), providing intensive, personalised support for individuals with complex needs; Young Adults Activities (YAA!) and Supported Transition and Engagement Programme (STEP), which promote social engagement; and Good Life Befrienders (GLBF), a befriending programme that pairs our youths with new peers to build friendship through shared interests.
This year, AES also began preparations for the opening of Rainbow Centre’s first Day Activity Centre (DAC) - a significant expansion of our continuum of adult services that will offer structured day programmes for adults with higher support needs.
