The Employability Services (ES) team empowers persons with disabilities by providing training and authentic learning opportunities that build job readiness - beginning in the classroom and continuing beyond graduation. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t

For SPED students, Workability and Artability offer prevocational preparation, opening early pathways into work and creative practice.

For SPED graduates, a suite of services including the Micro Jobs Training and Micro Business Academy carries that journey into adulthood, translating readiness into real livelihoods.<\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n

Opening Doors to Inclusive Employment<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t

In FY 25\/26, we partnered with 18 employment partners to create meaningful training and employment opportunities for our young adults, including those with moderate to higher support needs. Across diverse industries, these partnerships support authentic workplace experiences, skills development, and pathways towards employment.<\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n

One such partnership is with weareSuper, which created microjob opportunities within the arts and retail sector. Through this collaboration, Micro Jobber Jensen Taduran, 24, graduate from Margaret Drive School, took on the role of Art Designer cum Retail Assistant in Mar 2026, contributing to design projects and retail operations.

By adapting job roles, workflows and tasks, the team created a more accessible work environment for Jensen, while providing valuable industry exposure through collaborative design and merchandise development.<\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n

Partnership with Fairmont Singapore<\/h2>\n\t\t

Our longstanding partnership with Fairmont Singapore has also continued to open doors for our senior programme students during their schooling years.

Since becoming an employment partner in 2022, Fairmont Singapore has provided vocational training opportunities across its Laundry, Banquet and Restaurant departments. To date, more than 24 students have completed internships with the hotel, gaining hands-on experience, workplace skills and confidence through structured training and inclusive onboarding practices.<\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n

In the Making: Stories Behind the Businesses<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Supported by Blackrock Singapore and President\u2019s Challenge Empowering for Life Fund (ELF), the Micro Business Academy (MBA) empowers families of persons with disabilities to turn home-based business ideas into sustainable ventures.<\/p>\n\t\t

In FY 25\/26, with support from the Lendlease Foundation and in partnership with Hatch, we brought five micro businesses together in one meaningful space to help the public connect with and buy from their micro businesses and support the families\u2019 livelihoods.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t

The initiative created opportunities for families to share their entrepreneurial journeys, connect with new audiences, and build greater awareness of their businesses.
