Rainbow Centre Training and Consultancy (RCTC) extends RC\u2019s impact beyond our own campuses, sharing what we have learnt from decades of practice with the professionals, caregivers and organisations who support persons with disabilities. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t

A SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) Registered Training Provider, RCTC delivers training, workshops and consultancy on disability and social inclusion to both internal teams and various service sectors.

Drawing on the experience of our practitioners across early intervention, special education, adult services, social work and therapy, RCTC aims to pass on practical knowledge that works, so that persons with disabilities are well supported wherever they are.<\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n

Advancing Inclusive Practice Beyond Borders<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t

RCTC hosted an 11-day training programme for eight psychiatric nursing specialists from the Hong Kong Hospital Authority (HA), one of Hong Kong\u2019s largest public healthcare providers. Representing different hospitals and clinical settings, the participants shared a common goal of strengthening support for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.<\/p>\n\t\t

\n \t\t\t\"\"\/\t\t\t\t\t\"\"\/\t\t\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t

The programme combined classroom learning, site visits and practical discussions, covering topics such as person-centred practices, Positive Behaviour Support, community-based services, and approaches to improving quality of life outcomes. Through exposure to Rainbow Centre\u2019s service models and practices, participants gained insights that could be adapted to their own work within Hong Kong\u2019s public healthcare system.

Beyond knowledge exchange, the programme provided a platform for cross-border learning and professional collaboration, contributing to the advancement of inclusive and person-centred support for persons with disabilities across different care settings.<\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n

Building Capabilities for More Inclusive Communities<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t

RCTC continued its partnership with Changi Airport Group through disability awareness training, equipping frontline staff with practical strategies to better understand and support travellers with disabilities and their families. This contributes to a more welcoming and accessible travel experience.<\/p>\n\t\t

It also commenced a training series for ITE lecturers, focused on strengthening their capabilities to support students with special education needs in vocational and classroom settings. Tailored to the ITE context, the training equips lecturers to respond to diverse learning and behavioural needs, foster more inclusive vocational and classroom environments, and enhance their confidence in working with neurodiverse learners.<\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n
